While many are content to learn about ministry by reading books and writing essays, at Grace Theological College our students learn to walk the talk of sacred activism & social justice ministry by serving in their local communities with our diverse, courageous, experienced, compassionate, and affirming professors.
First and foremost you must have a faith-filled relationship with God.
' For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you. For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.
We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully. '
ROMANS CHAPTER 12: 3-9
At Grace Theological College, you must be motivated to experience the fruitful spiritual growth brought forth by the Holy Spirit. We do not assign your ministry to you. We provide the teaching, training, education, and support you need as you discern your ministry specialization and create your path to ministry service.
You will learn to rely upon God's strengths and your resilience while answering your call to ministry.
You will learn to work in concert with the call to ministry that you have received from the Holy Spirit.
You must be dedicated to your ministry education. Prepare to become a committed scholar. Here, you must expect to study and to serve God through service to God's creation. Working with our ordained Christian Spiritual Director, and our experienced and certified Interfaith Life Coach, you discern and create your individualized Social Justice ministry at Grace Theolological College.
